Turcite is a family of materials made from both Acetal resins and PTFE. The acetal-based Turcite products are known for exhibiting good strength and stiffness, dimensional stability, resistant to abrasion with very low stick-slip in dynamic applications.
Turcite A & X are acetal based enhanced plastics with proprietary additives available in rod. The Turcite Rod family of self-lubricating materials exhibit: low water absorption, dimensional stability, high wear resistance and chemical and corrosion resistance.
Turcite B is a low friction enhanced PTFE available in skived rolls that are etched one side. Turcite B increases accuracy, reduces damage caused by mechanical breakdowns and lubrication failures, extends the life of mechanical components, saves energy, and improves stick slip performance.
Turcite A is a self-lubricating Acetal-based thermoplastic bearing material. Turcite ® A is suitable for moderate to heavy loads at moderate speeds. It performs well under vibratory and dynamic loading and is readily machinable. It is recommended for a maximum continuous service temperature of 180°F (80°C). It is BLUE in color.

Turcite X is a self-lubricating Acetal-based thermoplastic bearing material. Turcite ® X excels in low load and high speed applications, and can be easily machined. It has minimal hygroscopic characteristics and possesses low thermal expansion properties, resulting in a structurally stable material. Its maximum continuous service temperature is also 180°F (80°C). It is RED in color.

Turcite B is a low friction etched one side linear bearing material which is used primarily on the ways and gibs of CNC machine tools. It provides low friction, stick-slip-free operation, long life and minimum wear. Turcite B is applied using a two-part epoxy resin after cleaning and degreasing the bare metal surface thoroughly. Turcite B is dimensionally stable, maintenance free and can be operated with or without lubrication.
